  • Academic Coordinator for Student Success

Raila Adams joins the Student Success Team as an Academic Coordinator for our two new cohort programs: Posse and Mastery Charter Scholars. She will onboard these cohorts to arrive on campus this fall and help them navigate their undergraduate degree. Raila will play a crucial role in mentoring each cohort while working in the Student Success Hub to connect students to campus resources and services.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Spelman College and a Master’s in Educational Leadership, Raila has a strong foundation in both instruction and administration. Her dedication to safe and inclusive educational spaces has been influential in enhancing student success.

Raila will collaborate with faculty members to design and facilitate programs to help Posse and Mastery Charter Scholars develop holistically during their time at Pitt. Raila Adams is committed to making a positive impact in youth development and educational equity by being an advocate for under-represented and marginalized communities.
