At the annual Senior Distinguished Awards Convocation, the University of Pittsburgh gathers to celebrate the outstanding students who have distinguished themselves through academics, service and leadership.
Achievements recognized during the event include:
- The Bachelor of Philosophy (BPhil) Degree

- National and International Scholarships
- Voyager Scholarship for Public Service
- The Gilman Scholarship

Instructions for Honorees
The following instructions are for the students who will be honored at the event:
- Please arrive at Alumni Hall by 4:45 p.m. on Friday, May 2. The program begins at 5 p.m. on the 7th floor in Alumni Hall.
- The celebration of honored students continues with a reception immediately following the event in the Connolly Ballroom, Alumni Hall.
- If you have a disability and require special accommodations to fully participate in the ceremony, please advise the Office of Special Events at 412-624-7100. We ask for your cooperation in notifying us as soon as possible.

- Who can attend the Convocation?
The Senior Distinguished Awards Convocation is by invitation only.
- Should I wear regalia?
Regalia is not a part of this event, and it should not be worn at the event.
- Where can I park?
Paid parking is available in Soldiers and Sailor Memorial Parking Garage and at various University-operated garages on campus. Parking is also available at the metered spaces around Alumni Hall.
