Provost Academy Early Move-In Guide
As a Provost Academy student, you can choose to move into your residence hall on either Saturday, August 10 or Sunday, August 11. Provost Academy events begin on Sunday, August 11 at 1 p.m.

Move-in Details
- Emailed Information: Logistics

You will receive an email from Panther Central with more specific details on Provost Academy move-in. This email will include details on unloading locations, cart stations, as well as parking information.
- Wristbands

At the unloading locations and cart stations, all friends and family assisting you will receive wristbands as a security measure. All members of the group must be present at the unloading location, including the student, to receive a wristband in order to gain access to the residence halls.
- Staff Assistance

Staff volunteers will be available to assist you! Please look for them at the specific unloading locations when you arrive.

All Pitt first-year students will find out their residence hall and roommate(s) assignments in mid-July.
Provost Academy early arrival/move-in details will be sent out by Panther Central in early August.

- Meals

- $30 in Panther Funds will be loaded to the student's Panther Card (Student ID) for use when Provost Academy meals are not provided and until meal plans begin.
- On Sunday, August 11, students and families will be provided hors d'oeuvres during the Welcome Reception, and students will be provided dinner.
- Meals will be provided at the Schenley Café Dining Hall for breakfasts, lunches, and dinners Monday, August 12, through Friday, August 16, during Provost Academy week.
- On Saturday, August 17, students will be provided a catered brunch at the Academic Presentations Brunch.
- If you have a meal plan, you can begin using it on Sunday, August 18.
- Panther Card

Don't forget to bring your Panther Card (Student ID), which will be mailed to you prior to your arrival to campus.
Your Panther Card gives you access to your residence hall, meal plan, and so much more!
Students must submit their photo online prior to being mailed their Panther Card.

As you get settled on campus, begin to familiarize yourself with some of Pitt’s essential services and groups!
