Want to get a head start at Pitt? You can do it with the Provost Academy!
The Provost Academy lays the groundwork for new University of Pittsburgh students like you to find success in your first year at Pitt.
We thought a lot about the best ways to launch your Pitt journey—to give you time to meet each other; settle into your residence halls and in Pittsburgh; to learn together; meet even more friends, mentors, and faculty—and get revved up for your first year before it even fully starts.
With those goals in mind, the week-long program helps you and your fellow participating students kick off your Pitt experience through a combination of enriching academic programs and social activities. In a nutshell, these include:
- Connecting with University faculty, staff, and students;
- Taking part in interesting academic projects and classroom learning experiences;
- Participating in community field projects;
- Attending resource and opportunity workshops; and
- Enjoying evening social events.
When the week wraps up, you should have a solid foundation to embark on the academic year with a cohesive support system in place, personally and in the academic space.
The 2024 registration period is now closed.
